A Health Coach is your personal champion to create and live a healthy, energized and better life. They partner with you to facilitate success in areas that you may have previously experienced obstacles, frustration and failure. Guiding you toward healthy actions and good nutritional choices that promote health and happiness and away from habits and choices that lead to weight gain, disease and emotional or physical suffering. Health Coaching is a method of guidance first recognized in the early 1990's by psychologists for it's success in treating addiction and it's habitual nature. This method develops a united relationship between the coach and coached that is collaborative, symbiotic and effective. Health coaching is so instrumental in achieving your goals as it is one a the few methods of health care that recognizes the unique concerns of the individual to establish a specifically tailored platform that fosters accountability and initiates long term behavioral changes that fit into the context of your life. Health coaching is a process that is most successful over time; typically coaching lasts three to six months,and appointments last 1-2 hours.
