Kay Hartzog
Kay Hartzog is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC). She graduated from Western Seminary Seattle in 2003 with a Masters of Arts in Counseling. Kay believes personal transformation is possible when people are provided with a safe place, an agreed upon intention of healing, and a therapist’s mindful presence.
Her post graduate work has included experience as a graduate school practicum facilitator, mentoring counseling students, and leading groups for sexual abuse recovery and therapeutic writing. Kay is an active participant in continuing education which includes workshops and courses in grief therapy, sensorimotor and mindfulness therapy, and mind/body awareness energy work. She is grounded in a psychodynamic therapeutic approach which incorporates ‘here and now’ technique as well as opening to past story. She believes both are important factors to healing current suffering.
Kay is committed to forming an alliance with you in order to explore the nature of your suffering. She continues to work with Adults and Couples in her private practice and is honored to be part of the healing process.
