Ruth Stender
Ruth Stender, certified meditation teacher, Reiki master, and owner of Seattle Energy Medicine, assists people in creating peace and wellness through easy-to-use meditation techniques and the practice of hands-on healing. Ruth brings a practical point of view to this art of healing and believes the "intangible" becomes tangible when someone says they are healing—truly healing for the first time in their lives.
By integrating her various roles—entrepreneur, mother, wife, writer, volunteer, teacher and yogini—Ruth's capacity to connect with others reaches far and wide. With a calm presence and deep appreciation of life's demands, she helps people learn to apply the benefits of meditation and energy work to their daily activities at home, work, school and in their communities.
Drawing on over twenty-three years in the business world—and understanding that a company's success is achieved through happy and healthy employees—Ruth also offers meditation classes for the workplace. These courses are designed to help reduce stress and improve morale, concentration, creativity, teamwork and ultimately, the bottom line!
Aside from her personal meditation and yoga practice, some of Ruth's favorite activities include backpacking the mountains and beaches of the northwest, snow skiing, biking, writing, reading, volunteering, seeing the world from the eyes of her beautiful grandsons ...and a good cup of hot chocolate on a rainy day!
Ruth sees clients at The Pujari Center every other Tuesday and East West Bookshop on Fridays.
In addition to teaching in Seattle, Ruth also offers meditation classes on the east side at the new Swedish Hospital Issaquah campus.
