Medical astrology is a new field of astrology which analyzes the interplay between astrological patterns and illness. The thought is that when we have an illness, we often have a metaphorical “story” around that illness – the “why” that we tell ourselves about it. Although we may not always be aware of that story, it can play an important role in our process of healing – either helping or hindering us. Sometimes, understanding that story from a more global, “mythic” point of view can help us to see our situation in a new way, which frees us to create a new story for ourselves which is more empowering, if we wish. Typical appointment times range from approximately one hour to three hours.
